The Oscars!!

Hello, fellow Fashionistas!
I hope you were as pleasantly suprised by the fashion at last nights Oscars as I was!  There was nothing that made me hide my eyes from the television screen.  Congrats, Hollywood, just when we thought your fashion couldn't be any worse you suprise us all!

Here are my top picks for the night:
Natalie Portman in Rodarte
I thought she looked fab!  Her makeup, hair, accessories, everything was wonderful!  The dress was perfect for her pregnant tummy.  Best Actress indeed.

Mila Kunis in Elie Saab
I thought this dress looked amazing on her!  It's definitly not for everyone, but she can definitely pull it off.  Props for wearing the hot trend for Spring 2011: LACE

Reese Witherspoon in Giorgio Armani Prive
Watch out, Barbie-Reeese is on the prowl!  Classically stunning.  I have decided she can play me in my Lifetime movie about my life after I get famous.  Congrats, Reese!

And now for some faux pas:

Dear Amy Adams,  When your dress is that sparkly there is no need for a necklace.

I WANTED to like this dress. TRIED to like this dress. But I could NOT get over the circle in the middle of her chest.  It looks like they wanted to paint a face on it but forgot.  Is that where the stars that she meets autographs go?  Puh-lease tell me why the designer could not just filled that in with sparkles.  Sigh.  Poor Cate.

Overall, I am impressed with the outfits of the night.  Well played ladies and gents!  Until next year!

Ode to No Friday Classes

Oh, No Friday Classes I don't know what I would do,
If I did not have you.
How would I clean my room?
Or go to the recycling?
Or dance around my room to Glee's Pandora radio station?
Or stay in my pj's until 2 PM?
Or make my bed BEFORE 4 PM?
Or finally read my Marie Claire?
Or figure out how to attack the icicle dripping on my sun roof (seriously, it's like Chinese Water Torture except it's not dripping on my forehead)?
Or see if my pink Ukulele will actually allow me to sound like Train and Jason Mraz? (it doesn't, surprisingly)
Or give me the piece of mind that even though i don't have a job yet one of these companies just HAS to respond...right?
So Thank You, No Friday Classes,
I don't know what I would do without you.

PS...

Who told Lady Gaga it was OK for her to come to the Grammy's in an EGG???

My favorite reaction?  Justin Bieber on Chelsea lately last night.  So honest!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4YR9_RwwXU
(it's like halfway through this clip so if you don't have Bieber fever (like I do) or hate Chelsea, skip forward)

These are my Confessions

1) I still cuss.
2) I have yet to make my bed this week.
3) My bills are laying on my desk instead of in a file.
4) I have no idea what I want to do when I grow up.

So far I am failing on my resolutions.

On the plus side, I just ate chicken nuggets in the shape of dinosaurs.  Things must be looking up.

Hope your resolutions are going better than mine!  I will do better, I promise!

Brushin your teeth

Have you ever noticed how hard it is to brush your teeth with stuff nose???  I was attempting this last night after I sneezed like 4 times and found it very difficult to breathe.  I had to like pause every few seconds to breathe.  I had never noticed this before!  Crazy.

Last night I made chicken tenders for dinner just so I could have ketchup.

Who am I and where did I come from??

Weekend News

How is it already Sunday??  I swear the weekends get faster every week!

Mine started off well enough.  But then Saturday arrived.  I was nervous all day because I had to interview the owners of this new restraunt on campus for my paper for my magazine class.  My paper is due tomorrow.  I was not procrastinating, this was just the only time they were available to speak with me.  So, I go there and I tell the worker person that I was here to see the owners and she told me to sit down and when things slowed down she would get someone to talk to me.  So, i sat there and took notes on the restraun; the smell, the colors, the atmosphere.  I get done with that and still no one comes to talk to me.  I keep waiting. Finally, after half an hour, the manager comes over to me and tells me that the owners will not be available to speak with me.  Cue me having a heart attack.  My paper is due TOMORROW and I have NOTHING.  So I went back to my apartment and immediately e-mailed my professor.  I'm thinking o Lord please give me a chance!  It wasn't my fault!  Why did this happen!?!  I had plans to go see "No Strings Attached" with Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman with my friends so I decided I might as well go to that because there was nothing I could do until my professor responded.  After the movie I immediately checked my e-mail and my professor had miraculously responded to me.  She gave me an extension on the paper.  Hallelujah!  So, now I have to keep bugging these people for an interview and get it done by Feb 9.  I hope my teacher doesn't hate me but really it wasn't my fault.

Anyways,

the movie was adorable!  I want to buy it.  I haven't said that about a movie in  a REALLY long time.  I want to see it again right now but movies are getting expensive.  Oh and did I mention I drowned my sorrows at the movie theater ordering a medium Pepsi and nachos.  Soo healthy.  How am I not 500 pounds?

So, that's my life.  Emotional roller coaster.  I thought I was going to be diligently working on my article today but instead I did laundry and cleaned my room.  I know I should be studying for my midterm on Thursday but I am finding it difficult to motivate myself to learn the reasons why companies expand internationally and the theories behind it.  So lame.
