Sally Hansen Salon Effects

Before spring break my mamma surprised me with a little treat!  Sally Hansen Salon Effects!  I had seen these in magazines and in stores and was always intrigued by them so I was extremely excited to try them out!

I must say that I fell completely in love!  They were SO easy to put on!  No heat necessary like some nail effects require.  They are basically just like stickers, but they feel like nail polish once you put them on.  Plus they give you 16 in the pack so that there are options of sizes for each finger.  I am planning on using the remaining ones on every other finger and then painting the others a color to match or even try them on my toes!  They lasted me over a week and if you are careful they could probably last even longer!  I would highly recommend these if you are going on vacation and want your nails to last!  Much cheaper than a manicure and they have lots of different colors and patterns!

And here is what my nails looked like:

My nails are quite short so they would probably look even better on someone with longer nails, but I still think they turned out really well!  I got a lot of compliments!

It probably took me about 5 minutes to put them on.  No mess, no drying time, no stinky nail polish smell.  Even the BF said my nails looked cute (but don't tell him I told you).

I really want to try the black and white ones or even the sparkly ones next!  Which one will you choose?!

Last "First Day of School"

Today was officially my last first day of school!  Can't believe I will be graduating in about 11 weeks!!!

I recently enjoyed my last official spring break as well.  Sigh.

Here are a few pictures for your enjoyment!

                                                                        Love Atlantis!

Sadly, it is now back to reality!

Hope it is warmer where you are than it is here!

FYI, Mother Nature, spring has sprung.  Get with the program!

Finals Week

Yep, it's that time again!  Finals week is upon me!  I can't seem to get motivated to study though, sadly.  I am such a procrastinator!  I just do better under pressure.  But, my first final isn't until Tuesday so i figure if I study today and tomorrow I should be fine!  Fingers crossed!

A Few of My Favorite Things...

am having one of those days where everything makes me angry.  So, I decided to tell you about some of my favorite things at the moment in hopes that it will cheer me up!

1) Batiste Dry Shampoo

I freaking love this stuff.  It's excellent for when I don't want to wake up early to shower before class, or if I am just being lazy that day.  Plus, you aren't really supposed to wash your hair everyday for some reason ( I think it dries out your hair, so your hair produces more oil thus causing you to want to wash it more, etc.  Talk about a vicious cycle).  I have tried both original and Blush and have to say I prefer the Blush scent, but they both work the same!  Just spray it on your hair and brush it through!  It's like baby powder but a million times better!  I feel like when I have children someday this will be my holy grail for the first few months.  I get it at Sally's Beauty Supply, it's about $7 but since you don't use it every day it usually lasts me about 3 months.  And you can't put a price on beauty, can you?

2)  Gel/Cream Eyeliner

My BFF is living in South Korea at the moment and in one of her goodies packages she sent to me there was some gel eyeliner and a little eyeliner brush.  At first I was skeptical as I have always been a pencil kind of girl, but this stuff is amazing!  It's easy to smudge, yet stays on all day!  Wouldn't recommend for the waterline, but that's mostly because I am afraid of hurting my eyes not because of the product.  I was in Target the other day and saw that ELF (Eyes Lips Face) has come out with their own that is only $3, so if you want to give it a whirl without spending a lot, check it out!

3)  Candles

I have recently become obsessed with burning candles in my room.  I think it's because for so many years I couldn't burn one int he dorms so now that I can I am taking full advantage!  Since it has been getting a little bit warmer out, I wanted some summery/spring scents so i headed to bath and body works when they had their 2 for $20 deal as I had a gift card from Christmas I needed to use!  I love pretty much all their new scents but the three I love the most are:  Pineapple Orchid, Peach Bellini, and Tropical Spice.  They are amazing and put me in a good mood!

4) Dog the Bounty Hunter

"Fear and darkness all around you, the criminals are on the run..."  The BF just discovered he can stream all the seasons of Dog the Bounty Hunter from Netflix, so needless to say I am obsessed.  These people are just so hilarious!  There's action, compassion, love, and you get to see Hawaii--what's not to like?  Did I mention I saw Dog's son Leland last time I was in Hawaii?  I know, so famous.  Tune in on Wednesday nights on A&E for new episodes...you won't be disappointed!

5) Baked potatoes

i feel that baked potatoes are often overlooked of their awesomeness.  I mean seriously, yo can put butter AND cheese on them and no one will think you are fat.  Score.  This is my go to meal for lunches and dinners.  Quick, easy, yummy.

Hope you enjoyed my favorite things!  Let me know if you try them out!

Distracted

The other day I was so distracted by things running in my mind I put lotion on my toothbrush.

I am extremely thankful I didn't put it in my mouth.
